Bio:

Kevin’s practice is focused on helping injured people.  He has represented people with brain injuries, spinal and soft-tissue injuries from car, bicycle, pedestrian accidents, slip and falls, injuries from defective products and injuries from medical malpractice.

He, with his partner Deborah Acheson Q.C., was instrumental in getting the Class Proceedings Act passed into law in British Columbia in 1995.  Since then he has been counsel in a number of class proceedings regarding defective breast implants, home heating panels, and medications.  He has represented a number of people with defective hip replacements.

Kevin believes that he can maximize his clients’ compensation by fully preparing their cases for trial.  Well-prepared cases usually settle before trial, as long as the insurance company is willing to reach a reasonable negotiated settlement.

Representative Work

Since 1993 Kevin has represented injured people in the Provincial Court of British Columbia, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the British Columbia Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.  He works hard to ensure that his clients are properly compensated for all their losses, including past and future lost wages, past and future medical expenses and pain and suffering. His most important cases have involved brain injuries and orthopaedic injuries caused by car accidents, bicycle and pedestrian accidents.
